There are many opportunities to serve here at Capitoland. Everyone has God-given gifts and we are created to do these good works. (Eph. 2:10) The Bible tells us that each person should use whatever gift they have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms. (1 Peter 4:10)

Technology is important to enhance the church experience. This ministry is responsible for the presentation of the media, projector, words for the worship songs, insuring the best sound of instruments and microphones, lights, cameras, and make sure that people are able to hear and see everything in the best way possible.
Our Children’s Ministry is called Kidz Rock. It is a program designed to teach and lead children into understanding their calling and purpose. We connect Biblical stories and messages with hands-on activities to make the learning process more fun and impacting. Proverbs 22:6 tells us to “Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.”
F.O.G. (Family Outreach Groups)
It is important as a family to continue meeting each other in order to build each other up, encourage one another and to carry each other’s burdens. (1 Thess. 5:11, Heb. 3:13 & Gal. 6:2) It says in Hebrews 10:25, “let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near.”
The first face that a new person meets when walking through the church doors are our greeters. Our Greeting/Ushering team are there to serve the people and are to keep order during the service to assure that “everything is done properly and in order”. (1 Cor. 14:20)
Hospitality is a spiritual gift that can be used greatly in our cafe. In Romans 12:13, Paul tells us to “Contribute to the needs of the saints and seek to show hospitality.”
“The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.” (James 5:16) Prayer is the most powerful weapon we can use as Christians. The Bible tells us that “the weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds.” (Eph. 6:12)
There are always needs to be met in regards to maintaining and upkeep with our various church locations. The Bible tells us “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.” (Col. 3:23-24)
Our purpose for nursery age children and toddlers is to provide a safe and loving environment for them. Children are never too young to learn about God’s love for them and we believe that we need to lay a foundation for your children to not only trust us, but also to trust in God.
Jesus has told us to “Go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone.” (Mark 16:15) Spreading the Gospel is our mandate as Christians. The Bible says “How beautiful are the feet of messengers who bring good news!” (Rom. 10:15)
Teens are at a crucial point in their lives. They are constantly being sucked in by the world, it’s empty promises and temptations. We must understand that this is a vulnerable time for them and they need the Word and community so much more than ever before. Building foundational beliefs while also helping teens discover who they are in Christ is our focus.
Bringing heaven to earth with “true worshipers” who “will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father is seeking such people to worship him.” (John 4:23)
