Capitoland Daycare Security
To ensure the safety, security, and well-being of the children in our care, Capitoland Daycare has established certain procedures and standards for the protection of your child. These procedures and standards include a state of the art security system including cameras, picking up and dropping off, visitors, transporting children and equipment and furniture safety.
Daycare Entrance and Halls
The entrance to our daycare center is separated from the children's classrooms and play areas. Only those that have a personalized security card and code can enter the building. These cards are only active between 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. When a parent no longer uses our services, their security card is deactivated.
Pick-up and Drop-off
Each child must be checked in and checked out by an adult that has authorization to do so. We keep an updated file of names, addresses, and phone numbers of all people authorized to pick up your child in case of an emergency. No child is released without the proper authorization and identification.
Lunch/Food Service
Our lunchroom staff is trained in the safe handling and preparation of foods. We work with the USDA to insure each meal is nutritious and meets the required standards. All food temperature is supervised to prevent any potential injury due to food that is too hot. We promote meal time as a great time for children to develop good eating habits and social skills.
Equipment Safety
We have gone to great lengths to make Capitoland a fun and safe place for your child. One of our playground areas is surrounded on three sides by our U-shaped building providing a secure area for your child. We also provide a large playground area that is monitored at all times by our staff. Our playground equipment is as safe as possible. We provide equipment that is fun and safe and has no sharp edges. Any equipment that is broken or damaged is taken out of service until it is repaired or replaced.
